It is home to many leading artists including Guinean legend Mory Kanté – the first African artist to sell a million singles, Cuba’s leading son band Sierra Maestra, American slide guitarist Bob Brozman and Calcutta’s sublime Debashish Bhattacharya. Recent signings include renowned Cameroonian artist Sally Nyolo, who returns home to collaborate with local bands in Yaoundé, as well as Benjamin Escoriza - the unforgettable voice of Radio Tarifa - on his debut solo album.
