Rhythm of the River showcases a range of musical gems from World Music Network's artist label Riverboat Records. Formed in 1989, Riverboat Records is a pioneering world music label, home to many leading artists including Guinean legend Mory Kante the first African artist to sell a million singles, Cuba's leading son band Sierra Maestra and Calcutta's sublime Debashish Bhattacharya. Recent signings include renowned Cameroonian artist Sally Nyolo as well as Benjamin Escoriza - the unforgettable voice of Radio Tarifa.

Rhythm of the River showcases a range of musical gems from World Music Network’s artist label Riverboat Records. Formed in 1989, Riverboat Records is a pioneering world music label. It is home to many leading artists including Guinean legend Mory Kanté – the first African artist to sell a million singles, Cuba’s leading son band Sierra Maestra, American slide guitarist Bob Brozman and Calcutta’s sublime Debashish Bhattacharya. Recent signings include renowned Cameroonian artist Sally Nyolo, who returns home to collaborate with local bands in Yaoundé, as well as Benjamin Escoriza - the unforgettable voice of Radio Tarifa - on his debut solo album.  Also featured are three stunning bonus tracks from new artists released on World Music Network’s mid-price developing artist label ‘Introducing...’: Daby Balde, Etran Finatawa and Bela Lakatos & the Gypsy Youth Project.
