Benefit Album Launched For Cheb I Sabbah

The World Music Network were saddened to hear that musical pioneer Cheb i Sabbah was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer last year. Cheb i Sabbah is a musician that features on The Rough Guide To Sufi Music (Second Edition) with 'Madh Assalhin' (Praising Of The Saints). Chebiji, as he is more usually known, was advised that the cancer was spreading to his liver and left lung and that time was not on his side. Unfortunately, Chebiji does not have health insurance.
