Music and travel go hand in hand, and during these difficult times of lockdown throughout the world one is having to learn to experience these once taken for granted enjoyments from the confinement of one’s home.

From the virtuoso musicianship of Calcutta’s guitar master Debashish Bhattacharya and Carnatic violinist Jyotsna Srikanth to far flung gems by Indonesia’s Sambasunda Quartet and China’s Manhu, this is the first of five playlists which will focus on a different continent each week.
