'Mali La Paix' - A Song For Mali

As troubles in Mali rumble on, musicians in London have taken up the cause and released a stunning original song calling for peace in the country.

Following in the footsteps of Fatoumata Diawarra, who recently released the track 'Mali-ko', London-based musician and WMN Audio Chart Winner Mulele Matondo Afrika has assembled some of the capital's finest talent to add their voices to the call.

Mali Mali Mali Mali Mali Mali Mali

'Mali La Paix' is a gentle number with beautiful arrangements. Jally Kebba Susso's sparkling korais peppered with percussion and guitar articualtions. Added colour comes from a mellow clarinet, viola and Turkish ba?lama. Floating atop are the impassioned voices of a host of international vocalists including Senegalese griot Kadialy Kouyate, Cuban singer Ramsay Estevez and Israeli artist Noga Ritter. Some ten languages are heard in total highlighting the songs message and hope for unity accross Africa and accross the world. Listen out for passages in Lingala, Wolof, Bambara, Swahili, Spanish, French, English, Norwegian, Hebrew and Ga.

The track is available for free download from Mulele Matondo Afrika's website and listeners are encourage to share and spread the song as far and wide as possible.
