On The Road: New Video By Söndörg?

Since Söndörg? have released their album Tamburocketin July, it has been a busy year for the group with awards, nominations and sell-out shows. It doesn't stop there: Söndörg? is looking forward to another year of shows and in order to celebrate their time on the roads in previous months, they have just released a brilliant road movie featuring countries they were invited to perform in and venues they played at. Months of footage have been condensed into just under ten minutes, accompanied by the powerful trance-like track 'Hulusination' which is based on a Macedonian ?o?ek dance tune and can be heard on their latest album Tamburocket. On top of their signature instrument, the tambura, the group performs on several other instruments, such as the dharbukka, clarinet, accordion, trumpet and a sort of Chinese snake-charmer's pipe called the hulusi - hence the punning title.

SondorgoFast and furious, fingers flying with a fiery panache, Söndörg? are one of the most exciting bands in Europe. With their signature instrument, the tambura, the band brilliantly combines respect for tradition with a desire to innovate and a fizzing virtuosity.
