Watch: A Rare Glimpse Of Early-80s Inner-Mongolia Featuring Hanggai

In an eye-opening new video, photographer PS Harris explores the immense cultural-shift that took China by storm in the early 80s. His mosaic of immaculate photography manages to uncover the sides of Eastern culture you rarely see in movies or on TV - a proud pastoral realm of highly-efficient traditions and cultural flair.

Fittingly, the images are set to 'Four Season’s' by our favourite Mongolian-Folk revivalists Hanggai who, just like these photographs, keep the flame of China’s forgotten past alive - albeit through magical explorations of the region’s native folk music.

A great starting-place for those of you ready to experience vintage Chinese culture (before it’s too late!) is our Rough Guide To China compilation.
